в общем, программы, которые позволяли поставить винду с bsod - работали. А дальше возникал конфликт не то с MBR, не то с восприятием hdd через ahci (или как оно там). Но с флешками я завязал - подключил hdd, запустил из-под виртуальной машины установку винды c параметрами

вернул диск в систему, и установился нормально.
